Cipher Sundays is a showcase competition in Boston, MA featuring the best New England Rap and R&B artists from Go Time Boston.
The competition will consist of four rounds. In each of the first three rounds two finalists will be selected. These six (6) finalists chosen from the previous three (3) rounds will compete in the 4th and final round on January 24th, 2009 for the grand prize.
Grand Prize:
- A record recorded and produced by Platinum Producer Jimi Kendrix
- Digital Distribution of one single from the Winner of the Showcase to our 32,000+ Mixers/DJs/Programmers. (value $2,000)
- Interview and spotlight on Get Your Buzz Up
- Placement on 10,000 compilation CD’s distributed by Shoe City Distribution
- 10 Hours studio time to complete project (Sure Fire)
- Video recording by 617 Live TV
- Ringtone deal
The other five (5) finalists will receive:
- Interview and spotlight on Get Your Buzz Up
- Placement on 10,000 compilation CD’s distributed by Shoe City Distribution
- Video recording by 617 Live TV

Contestants will also have the opportunity to register and audition at The Hyde Park Lounge, Saturday, December 5th and 12th between 12 noon and 5:00pm. There is no fee to submit your work online via mp3 or live audition.
Performance Fee
Performance fee is $300.00 USD
As an incentive to the artist and to ensure all artist performing at these events are performing in front of their own audience, artists will receive (40) forty tickets at $7.50 per ticket total $300.00.
Per ticket price for this event is $15.00. Artist will have an opportunity to sell 40 tickets at face value of $15.00 and earn $300.00.
Notification of winner of each round
Every Wednesday of each round January 6th, 13th, and 20th log onto WWW.GOTIMEBOSTON.BIZ to see who will advance to the final round. January 24th the grand prize winner will be announced that night and introduced to Jimi Kendrix.
Please note: Engagement, Recording Procedure, Compensation, Rights In Recordings, Names & Likeness, Credits, Musical Compositions, Mechanical Licensing And Royalties, Definitions, Warranties, Entire Agreement, Jurisdiction, and Independent Contracting are based on Producer Agreement between Jimi Kendrix and Go Time Boston.
